Dump Truck Overturns On Route 287

An overturned dump truck shut a portion of Route 287 in Morris County Thursday, Jan. 4, the state's DOT site shows.

The crash happened around 10:45 a.m. in the northbound lanes, north of Exit 39 to Route 10.

The Peterbilt dump truck was heading north when the driver lost control, ran off the roadway to the right, reentered the lane of travel and then overturned around 10:45 a.m. near milepost 40.8 in Parsippany-Troy Hills, New Jersey State Police Trooper Troy McNair said.

No injuries were reported. Two of the five lanes were closed as of 11 a.m.
